µTorrent is the smallest BitTorrent client available. Don't let its size fool you because this program packs a punch. It not only has the essential features for a BitTorrent client but also a RSS reader.
It is a standalone executable file that only needs an internet connection to work. A useful feature of µTorrent is the ability to limit the download and the upload speeds. µTorrent not only compatible with the latest versions of Windows but will also run on Windows 9x, Windows 2k and Wine.
The design of µTorrent is simple. It categorises the downloads so they will be easier to manage. It gives you the ability to decide which files you want to download instead of downloading all the files in the torrent and wasting your bandwidth. It can be tweaked to manage your downloads for you but this is only done to a certain extent. For example, µTorrent can move your downloads to another folder when it has finished downloading.
µTorrent does not require the torrent file to be on the computer. It can download the torrent file from an URL and then proceed to download the files. It not only allows you to download torrents but it also gives you the power to create them.
Backed up with an active support forum and more than 50 supported languages, µTorrent is probably the most agile and one of the most superior BitTorrent clients available today.
Advantages:
- It is small and uses very little memory.
- It is compatible with the older versions of Windows as well as with Wine.
Disadvantages:
- Lacks additional features that make downloading via P2P fun.

quick,easy to use no hassle. Once it has been programmed correctly then just let go

it depends on your Internet connection! Also on how many people have the file ( SEED) & you need to allow port forward
What are µTorrent's system requirements?
Very low. It works on as weak a system as Windows 95 on a 486 with 14MiB of RAM (with the Winsock2 update), up to 2003 and Vista.

Winrar certainly DOES support multi-threading. You can enable it in the options.
Don't know why they say 1.8 is the latest ver, µTorrent 1.7.7 Stable is. Maybe 1.8 is a beta.
